The Process that Delivers Amazing Success Stories

…yes, we used the “p” word.
…MarketingSherpa says a routine process converts 150% more traffic.

The SEOinhouse.com process is like a really good crime story. There are antagonists, protagonists, drama, suspense, and climax. But of course what really matters is how it ends. We pride ourselves on having storybook endings.

Step 1: Polite Interrogation

The first step in any successful engagement is asking lots of questions. We need to fully understand the goals of the project and work closely with you early in the engagement to understand your business, and what you are trying to accomplish. We probe to find the political, organizational, and technical obstacles that might keep your site from ranking as well as it could so that we define solutions that will actually work in your world. We probe to figure out what you already understand, and where knowledge gaps exist. We are looking for “root causes” so that our solutions work long-term.

Step 2: Dig Deep & Discover

We need to dig deep into a site to really understand how things work. Some of us “literally” roll up our sleeves and get dirty to really uncover a site – pulling up the carpet and routing through the basement to find the secret issues that linger below the surface. Each engagement is a project of discovery, and clients are always surprised at what is found.

Step 3: Survey the Landscape

We look at your competitors – how are they similar, how are they different, and what can we learn from them? Our SEO Strategies compare and contrast your site with competitors’ sites so that it is crystal clear what makes one work and the other flop.

Step 4: Hatch a Plan

This is where it gets really exciting. Armed with your data, challenges, assets and liabilities, we pull in members of our team with expertise in all areas of SEO, from right-brained technical SEOs, to left-brained social media and brainstorming gurus. In this “war room” we brainstorm, strategize and hatch a plan that will have the greatest impact and ROI.

Step 5: Deliver a Guide, Manual and/or Roadmap

There are three characteristics that differentiate our deliverables. First, they’re actionable. We have a firm policy: there is no point in delivering a report that has no clear next steps and roadmap. Second, they’re clear. Our deliverables are written with two different audiences in mind: (1) the SEO Practitioner who is going to have their work cut out for them, and (2) the Executive who needs to understand what impact our recommendations will have. And finally, our audit deliverables are meaty. There is enough great stuff to keep everyone busy for many months to come. Do not be surprised if you end up with an 18-24 month roadmap in your hands.

Step 6: Build a Friendship

By this time we’ve stripped your site down, and given you the roadmap to build it back up (metaphorically speaking) to be far more visible in search engines. But our relationship doesn’t end here. We know SEO can be a challenge and we pride ourselves on building long-lasting relationships with clients that last throughout the implementation process and beyond. And of course, all of our clients are now living happily ever after (see client stories).

Let’s get started on your happily ever after.
